Overview

In response to the Covid-19 crisis our Savings at the Frontier program requires additional resources to add capacity to participating Financial Service Providers (FSPs) to support the deployment of the programmes Maximus platform across FSPs respective portfolio of savings groups, savings lead loan groups and individuals’ savers in rural and peri-urban areas of Ghana. Expanding access to financial services for microentrepreneurs is a priority for the funder of SatF as it will help businesses to withstand the economic effects of COVID-19 and allow them to digitize more of their customer-facing activity. Digitization of consumer (B2C) and business (B2B) transactions helps with social distancing and reduces reliance on face-to-face exchange of cash, which is increasingly seen as a potential transmission path for the virus. The key position focus areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of activities between FSPs and Emergent

  • Assist FSP field agents and community volunteers to coordinate Maximus transactions

  • Act as the focal point between FSP and Emergent’s technical and project management team

  • Assist with testing of new and existing program platforms (e.g. IVR)

  • Provide feedback on issues, challenges and opportunities

  • Provide assistance for other project activities as specified by SatF project teams

  • Report on a daily, weekly and as required by the SatF project team
